The Unit Accreditation Board for the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) has granted The Citadel School of Education continuing accreditation.

Winfred “Bo” Moore has been named dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at The Citadel. Moore will be replaced by Keith Knapp as head of the history department.

"Don’t let the world change the values that The Citadel has instilled in you. Instead, change the world by applying those values. The Citadel Graduate College honored hundreds of students during commencement exercises Sunday, May 4. George Benson, president of the College of Charleston, delivered the commencement address.

The South Carolina Corps of Cadets Class of 2008 received diplomas before a crowd of thousands packed into McAlister Field House on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

Diplomas were presented Saturday, May 3 to members of the Class of 2008 – a class that is nearly 500 students strong. The class includes cadets, active duty military students, and two veterans who returned after military service to complete their education and leadership development training.
