Pre-Knob Overnight Visits are scheduled throughout the school year and are the most effective way to determine if The Citadel is the best college choice for you. During overnight visits, you will go to classes, eat in the mess hall, sleep in the barracks, and participate in other aspects of cadet life. As an overnight visitor, you will be assigned a cadet host for your stay. These overnight visits are restricted to those students who have been academically accepted for admission. Friday Afternoon Visits are designed for those academically accepted students who can not make one of the premier Pre-Knob Overnight Visits. During this visit, parents and students will receive an orientation from members of the Staff and Corps of Cadets. It culminates in a cadet led tour of the campus and an invitation to observe a dress parade of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets (weather and schedule permitting.) Individual Visits These visits are open to all interested students and their families and include an interview with an admissions counselor and a campus tour guided by a Citadel cadet. Appointments are available daily, before and after the daily tour times listed below. Appointments are strongly recommended. The Office of Admissions is closed on Saturday and Sunday, but open most holidays. Call ahead to check if coming on a holiday.
