Welcome to Air Force ROTC Detachment 765, located at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in the beautiful and historic city of Charleston. The Citadel has a long and proud tradition of educating young men and women for leadership positions in all walks of life. The Air Force ROTC department supports this mission and provides graduates the opportunity to earn a commission in the U.S. Air Force.

If you are considering attending The Citadel and are interested in pursuing a commission in the Air Force, your first stop should be the AFROTC information page. Lt Gen Klotz visits The Citadel
Lt Gen Frank G. Klotz, Assistant Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force, visited The Citadel on 29 Aug 2008. General Klotz toured the campus and took time to meet with Air Force ROTC cadets and cadre. He concluded his discussion with the cadets by emphasizing that they are the future of the Air Force and, regardless of their proximity to the target, they are all key to the success of the mission.
Citadel Graduates Commissioned
Two Citadel graduates were recently commissioned as 2d lieutenants. 2d Lt Kyle Williams was commissioned on 15 August at a ceremony presided by Colonel Dominic Ubamadu, a mentor and family friend. Lt Williams will be assigned to Barksdale Air Force Base as a logistics readiness officer. 2d Lt Ian Prudhomme was commissioned on 23 August. He is awaiting acceptance at medical school and plans to serve as a flight surgeon.
Doolittle Raider Remembered
Lieutenant Colonel Horace E. "Sally" Crouch, Citadel class of 1940, was remembered during a ceremony honoring his participation in the "Doolittle Raid" over Tokyo on 18 Apr 1942. During a heritage celebration on the 66th anniversary of this historic event, Lt Col Crouch's son, Martin Crouch, presented The Citadel with a lithograph memoralizing the Doolittle Raid.
