CFA
GOALS:
Since its
inception in 1993, The Citadel Family Association
(CFA) has been dedicated to three main goals:
* To provide information to, and support for, the
families of current cadets;
* To provide families with a forum for discussion
of common interests; and
* To support college initiatives.
CFA BENEFITS:
* The "Nice
To Have List" of extras to send with incoming
freshmen (in addition to the college's official
list).
* Cadet company representatives
who can be a liaison for other cadet parents each
year.
* All In The Family
(sponsored by the South
Carolina Federal Credit Union), a quarterly newsletter
sent to all cadet parents.
CFA BOARD MEETING MINUTES:
To keep
CFA Volunteers up to date, the CFA Board will now

FALL
CFA NEWSLETTER:

Weekend activities. Click HERE

will be arriving on your doorstep.
PARENTS
WEEKEND:
* CFA volunteers
have all experienced the traditional "transformation"
their Cadet goes through from Matriculation Day to
Parents Weekend.
* Knobs forge bonds
in these first months with their classmates that will
last a lifetime, learning honor, discipline and sacrifice.
The academic load is demanding, and thus it is critical
for parents to encourage their Cadets to remain focused
on producing the best possible grades.
* Parents
Weekend is a wonderful time for reunions and for reflection.
The Citadel is "The path less followed",
but for its graduates, it has made all the difference
in the world.
COMING CFA ACTIVITIES:
* CFA representatives participate in
each Pre-Knob
Overnight Program by answering questions of prospective
cadet parents.
* The CFA assists in the recruitment and retention
of cadets by working closely with The
Citadel Volunteers (CVs) all over the United States.
* Each year, the CFA hold an Annual Meeting open to
all cadet parents/guardians to conducts
the business of the organization. Also, key college
decision-makers are often invited to address parents.
