The staff of the Counseling Center provides professional consultation
services to facilitate student success. In the past, consultations were
provided to:
- Administrative Staff
- Tactical Officers
- Infirmary Staff
- Faculty Members
- Athletic Teams
- Cadet Officers
- Religious Staff
- Family Members
Consultation is provided within the context of the laws and ethics of
confidentiality. Consequently, a counselor can offer individuals who are
concerned about a student some recommendations regarding how to encourage
the student to seek counseling. However, the counselor will not disclose
to this individual whether or not the student has been receiving counseling
unless the student has provided written authorization to release this
information.
