Lauren A. Rule specializes in Twentieth-Century Anglophone American literatures. A native of Richmond, Virginia, she graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in English and a minor in Biology. After writing professionally for healthcare organizations in Washington, D.C., she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from Emory University.
Dr. Rule teaches courses on American literature, Caribbean literature, contemporary women novelists, poetry, and composition. She has an article forthcoming in Modern Fiction Studies and is revising a book-length manuscript entitled "Romantic Revisions: Novels of the Americas De-scribing Empire."
