Annual Report 2003/2004

 

Membership:

Nancy Bell-Hundemer (PSYC), Stacy Brown (CHEM), Mark Del Mastro (MLNG, 941 only), Frances Frame (ENGL), Donna Gibson (EDUC, 941 only), Peter Greim (MACS), Keith Plemmons (CIVL), Susan Simmons (BADM), and Kirstin Steele (LIBR); Rod Welch (non-voting).

(An ROTC faculty member, a student, and the Financial Management liaison had not been appointed.)

 

Activities:


During the school year 2003/2004, the full committee met twice  physically and had exchanges and votes by e-mail.  Two  subcommittees were established and submitted reports to the full committee.

 

In its first meeting, the committee received the annual report from ITS (see minutes.of 9-18-03)

 

CF-funded new PCs for faculty offices: A subcommittee evaluated the15 submitted proposals and recommended to fund all of them, with the concurrence of the full committee.

 

No mandatory PCs for cadets: A subcommittee completed the work of the previous year’s committee and submitted a report. The full committee adopted the subcommittee position that personal computers for cadets should not be mandatory. (See minutes of 4-22-04 for a summary of the report.)

 

An e-mail suggestion box (for suggestions to the committee) was established at both the committee web page and on the ITS Faculty Computing web page.
