Keep North Charleston Beautiful (KNCB) completes at least six Community Beautification Activities (CBA) each year. The KNCB Board selects an area in North Charleston each year to focus immediate attention on beautifying. After the location has been selected a Quality of Life inventory is completed to determine the needs of the location. KNCB volunteers recruit others, many who have an interest in the area, to partner with KNCB to beautify the location for up to one year. When the year is complete KNCB encourages the partnering groups to remain active at the location. KNCB then selects another location to beautify for the upcoming year.

The goals of these community beautification activities are to enhance the beauty of the city through active community involvement, as well as, to empower community members to be involved in making positive changes within their community.

The KNCB Board selects an area in North Charleston each year that needs assistance with beautification. Members then complete a Quality of life survey to determine what type of assistance KNCB can provide. We then schedule the community beautification, recruit volunteers, obtain the necessary beautification materials, and GET TO WORK. KNCB remains at the same location for the calendar year and forms partnerships with community groups who can sustain the project for the long term. KNCB then selects a new community beautification location and starts the program over.
