The Citadel School of Humanities and Social Sciences includes the Department of English, Department of History, Department of Modern Languages, Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice, and Department of Psychology. The school has 40% of the faculty of the college and is responsible for much of the core curriculum. The Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences is Al Finch.
