Welcome to the Office of Research & Grants
The Office of Research and Grants (ORG) mission is to assist faculty and staff members to find and apply for external funding opportunities. This includes the review of all proposals to ensure compliance with federal, institutional, and private sponsor guidelines and mandates before submission to the funding agency by the Authorized Organizational Representative (AOR). The ORG assists faculty and staff with the following pre-award and post award activities.
- Grant preparation education (workshops and presentations)
- Locating external funding opportunities
- Preparation of grant proposals (narratives, forms and budgets)
- Understanding IRB guidelines and completing the form
- Grant submission process
- Award acceptance process
- Setting up grant accounts
- Financial reporting
- Compliance
Mission Statement
The Office of Research and Grants (ORG) instills The Citadel’s core values of honor, duty and respect into every area of research at the College to cultivate an environment that promotes scholarship, teaching, research integrity and compliance. The ORG facilitates research at the College by providing oversight and coordination of college, state and federal regulatory compliance, as well as, research compliance in such areas as human subjects, hazardous agents, and research misconduct.
