Those leading the Corps have responsibility for the leadership and training of hundreds of cadets under their command. Meet the group of cadets who have the greatest influence on the Corps and the climate at The Citadel.


POW ceremony brings back memories
Six former prisoners of war returned to The Citadel on POW/MIA Recognition Day to share their thoughts about duty and sacrifice. The event included a stirring recitation by Col. Quincy Collins '53 about the American flag and a performance by The Citadel Chorale of a hymn Collins wrote while in a North Vietnamese prison.


General's Journal: Much ado about rankings
How colleges react to rankings often depends on how well they rank. The 2006 cycle of national college rankings has given The Citadel much to brag about.

Help for Katrina victims
Campus initiatives to help those displaced by Hurricane Katrina have included work on a temporary shelter in downtown Charleston and efforts to raise money, food and household supplies for hurricane victims along the Gulf Coast.


Athletic Hall of Fame to get five new members
The pitcher with one of the best records in Citadel baseball history leads a distinguished group who will become the newest members of The Citadel Athletic Hall of Fame during homecoming this weekend.

Homecoming

Alumni and friends will converge on campus beginning Friday for Homecoming 2005. Festivities run all day Friday and Saturday, culminating with the Citadel vs. Elon football game at Johnson Hagood Stadium. Click here for the Homecoming 2005 schedule of events.
