Program Funds
Academic Endowment
The Academic Endowment Fund at The Citadel Foundation plays a critical role in underwriting academic programs at the college. Each year, a distribution of the Academic Endowment Fund is made to the college for academic enrichment opportunities for faculty and students. Citadel faculty and staff know first-hand the significant impact the Academic Endowment has on the educational experience the college has to offer. Gifts to the Academic Endowment Fund allow The Citadel to continue to be a world-class learning institution.
A gift to the Academic Endowment provides funding for:
- Research and teaching support for faculty
- Academic program enhancement
- Technology upgrades and improvements
- Recruitment and retention of students
Cadet Life Fund
The Cadet Life Fund at The Citadel Foundation will strive to enrich the lives of cadets beyond the classroom. This fund will enhance traditional educational offerings through special lecture series, fine arts performances, special training initiatives and other activities, thereby fulfilling The Citadel's mission to educate the whole person. Gifts to the fund may be made at any time and in any amount.
CGPS Program Fund
The College of Graduate and Professional Studies has allowed The Citadel to expand its impact on the Lowcountry and significantly affect the quality of higher education in the state of South Carolina. Through its graduate and professional development programs, the CGPS serves a population of more than 2,000 students annually. Without these vital programs, many students from the Charleston area would be unable to complete their degrees and certifications locally. The CGPS Program Fund will be used for recruiting students and faculty by marketing the CGPS program through the media, electronic communications and publications. The fund will enable CGPS to enhance student services such as financial aid, faculty support staff, facilities, research resources, and technology. Gifts to the fund may be made at any time and in any amount.
