Come and reflect on how the writing project has impacted your teaching career or life.
Enjoy an afternoon of learning "the latest" and an evening of enrichment.
Sessions include Digital Literacy, Blogging in the Classroom, Understanding ESOL, Graphic Organizers and SAT Prep. We are thrilled to have best selling author Bret Lott join us as the keynote Speaker.
Bret Lott is the author of the novels A Song I Knew by Heart, Jewel (an Oprah’s Book Club selection), The Hunt Club, Reed’s Beach, A Stranger’s House, and The Man Who Owned Vermont; and the story collections A Dream of Old Leaves, How to Get Home, and The Difference Between Women and Men; the memoir Fathers, Sons, and Brothers; and the writing guide Before We Get Started.
The cost is $30.00 and covers all sessions, social and dinner. The Confernce is open to all Lowcountry Teachers, but Alumni of CAWP and LWP institutes are especially encouraged to attend. Renewel credits are available (1 hour credit per one hour session) as applicable to individual professional growth plans.
In addition to conference sessions Joni Murrell, of Dodge Learning, will have a book display table with professional development titles and Bret's books available at conference discount rates.
