Pre-Law Advising and Resources
The Citadel’s pre-law program familiarizes prospective law school applicants with the law school application process, coursework required of law students, various law schools, and areas of practice. The program helps Citadel students and alumni determine whether a legal education suits their professional goals and then aids them in matriculating at the right law school for them. Our pre-law society, The Citadel Inn of Court, gives participants the chance to interact with both lawyers and law school admissions personnel. Our pre-law advisor can help you choose appropriate undergraduate coursework and guide you through every aspect of the law school admissions process.
Finally, we offer classes with substantive law content taught by faculty with J.D.s in academic departments such as Business, Criminal Justice, English, Intelligence Studies, and Political Science. Thomas Horan, J.D., Ph.D., The Citadel’s Pre-Law Advisor, can be reached at horant1@citadel.edu. His services are available to all Citadel students and alumni.
