Bio
González graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a major in accounting. She also earned a master’s in finance from Interamerican University, a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the School of Management and Human Potential from Walden University and a Post-Doctoral degree from Walden University. She have the designations of Enrolled Agent, Certified Internal Control Auditor, and Certified Control Specialist.
González began her career as an internal auditor at Dupont. After graduation, she served as an auditor for The Office of Controller of Puerto Rico and then moved to the Healthcare Insurance industry, where she was a senior Internal Auditor. She also served as a Financial Analyst for Abbott and AbbVie, auditor for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and Internal Control PRMO Auditor/Financial Analyst for Duke Health University System. Currently, she works part-time for and is a minority business owner who serves the Small Business Community in the Charleston region.
González was born, raised and educated in Puerto Rico. Her dissertation is entitled Wellness Programs: Strategies for Increasing Employees’ Productivity and Reducing Health Care Costs.
