Captain Dakota Hendrix is Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and Education Officer at the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 765, The Citadel. As the Assistant Operations Flight Commander, he is responsible for overseeing the completion of all instruction-related activities for one of the largest cadet corps in the Air Force.
Captain Hendrix received his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps from Virginia Military Institute, Detachment 880 in May 2016. He is currently a Contracting Officer and was previously an Electronic Warfare Officer on the B-52 Bomber. Prior to his current assignment, Captain Hendrix served as the Officer in Charge for the 628th Contracting Construction Flight located at Joint Base (JB) Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. There, Captain Hendrix led 18 members and provided contracting support to 2 Air Force Wings and 1 Navy Command.
