Captain Savannah Emmrich serves as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and Operations Flight Commander at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 765 at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. Captain Emmrich instructs the sophomore cadet curriculum and is responsible for executing Air Force ROTC Cadet Operations.
Captain Emmrich is a Logistics Readiness Officer. Prior to her current assignment, she served as the Team Commander for Air Force Special Operations Command’s (AFSOC) newest unit, the Mission Sustainment Team (MST). She led 58 personnel to establish, sustain, and retrograde four forward operating bases and contingency locations, which facilitated mission generation. Additionally, she was responsible for producing Multi-Capable Airmen capable of providing combat support to aviation force elements conducting dispersed and dynamic operations.
Captain Emmrich commissioned as a Distinguished Graduate from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in 2015.
