Bio
Dr. Hernandez-Rubio is Visiting Assistant Professor in the Biology Department. She teaches general biology and wildlife ecology and management. Her research involves developing best practices in distance education for the life sciences, with a focus on wildlife and natural resources.
Dr. Hernandez-Rubio received a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science from Wofford College, an M.S. in Environmental Science from College of Charleston, and a Ph.D. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from Clemson University. She is a former Clemson Kennedy Waterfowl and Wetlands Conservation Center Ph.D. Fellow (dissertation viewable here.). Dr. Hernandez-Rubio has previously taught general biology for majors and non-majors at the College of Charleston, and courses in hydrology and waterfowl ecology at Clemson University.
