Research Funding Opportunities
- Rex K. Skanchy Biology Research Award
- Supports student-led biology research projects (approx. $1,500 annually).
- William and Jane Bowers Research Presentation Award
- Provides up to $1,000 for students and $1,000 for faculty mentors in their travels to present research at academic conferences.

- Our labs are equipped with professional-grade tools and technologies, including: microscope with video, film developer, spectrophotometers, refrigerated centrifuge, PCR, protein electrophoresis, nucleic acid electrophoresis, deep freezer, HPLC, egg incubator, laminar flow hood for cell culture, autoclave, distiller, fume hoods, aquaria, low-temp incubator, benchtop incubators for cell culture, ELISA, field observation and collection equipment.
