Dr. Kristy Y. Johnson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Gardner-Webb University and her Ph.D. in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Johnson’s research interests include the West Nile Virus, antibacterial activity in citrus extracts, and stress-related hormone levels in college students. She teaches a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate biology courses and authored a textbook for undergraduate Bioterrorism courses.
