Tri-Beta is a national biology honor society with over 200,000 members. Our local chapter, the Tau Nu chapter, issues a call for new members each spring semester. The requirements for Regular Membership are the completion of at least 3 biology courses (one of which is not an introductory course) with a GPA of at least 3.0 in these courses and an overall GPA of at least 2.5. Anyone who does not meet the requirements for Regular Membership may join as an Associate Member and upgrade to Regular Membership once the requirements are met.
