Bio
Todd Drew is the Director of Graduate and Transfer Programs and an Assistant Professor in the Baker School of Business. He also manages executive development programs for the school. Before joining the Baker School, he worked for over 20 years in higher education, including leadership experiences at the chair, school dean, college dean, and vice president levels. He has teaching experience in a variety of institutions including community college, extended education, open enrollment, private college, and research university settings. Before his work in higher education, Dr. Drew held a variety of management and analyst positions in K-12 education, auto manufacturing, and public transit industries. He was an active consultant in the areas of strategic and business planning, as well as organizational change and process improvement. His clients included Maine Municipal Association, Maine Department of Transportation, Maine Natural Areas Program, Maine School Administrative District # 50, and a variety of small and medium sized privately held corporations. He worked directly with communities to provide recommendations regarding specific workforce and community development strategies. He still consults occasionally for select clients needing support for organizational change initiatives. Dr. Drew is a graduate of the doctoral program in Educational Studies, Leadership and Higher Education – organizational development and change emphasis, at the University of Nebraska. He completed the BSBA and MBA at The Ohio State University and the MEd in student development in higher education, counseling emphasis, at University of Maine. He has completed additional graduate work in economic and statistical analysis, and strategic, operations, and human resources management. Dr. Drew completed Harvard University’s Management and Leadership in Education program which was focused on the management of change in organizations. He is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach for individuals, managers, and teams.
