Bio
Dr. Walt Rosado is the Graduate and College Transfer Programs Advisor at the Baker School of Business.
A decorated U.S. Army combat veteran of overseas operations under the Global War on Terrorism, including the Iraq Campaign, Rosado learned how to solve problems under pressure while leading small teams to accomplish big goals. His military awards include the Infantry Order of Saint Maurice, the Army Combat Action Badge, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Ohio National Guard Distinguished Service Medal. His service spanned the U.S. Army, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, and Ohio Military Reserve. He built on his military record at top-tier Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where he worked for four years in the University’s Finance Division, Human Resources Department and in Shared Services at the University Technology Development Center. At CMU, he was involved in the request for proposals, selection, roll-out, and post-go-live stabilization of Workday HCM software, a global 36+ million-dollar project. He also instructed graduate-level courses. He was recognized with the CMU Staff “Andy” Award for teamwork and collaboration in 2015, along with other members of the CMUWorks Implementation Team.
Following his time at CMU, he successfully managed multiple projects of increasing budget and complexity as a Business Management Consultant and Organizational Change Management Transformation Lead at Highmark Inc., where he spent over seven years implementing healthcare technology solutions nationwide at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association member organizations, using Prosci and Agile methodologies to deliver training, author curriculum, publish desk-level procedures, generate process flows, and map system security roles.
Rosado received his Ph.D. in Instructional Management from Robert Morris University in 2016. His research interest specialized in change management- focusing on psycho-emotional, monetary, and compliance barriers in resistance to change during enterprise application software implementations.
