Citadel Cyber Communications Command (C4)
The Citadel Cyber Communications Command (C4) is a multi-pronged strategic initiative to enhance instructional and institutional development between the School of Sciences and Mathematics and The School of Humanities and Social Sciences. This initiative is in effort to reduce vulnerability in our national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in Cyber Defense (CD) and to produce a growing number of professionals with expertise in CD disciplines. This program will contribute significantly to the advancement of state-of-the-art CD knowledge and practice.
C4 will provide a state-of-the-art communications platform in both a logical and physical state that will be used to train our students using a curriculum designed and delivered to meet the ever growing needs of the Public and Private Sector in Cyber Defense.
C4 will provide a platform to develop a skilled work force to combat against the growing national threat to Cyber Security while serving as a regional site where instructional and operational entities involved in Cyber Security, Cyber Crime and Communications Reliance can train and develop.
C4 is an interdepartmental effort at The Citadel to coordinate and subsequently fuse programs, curriculum, faculty, students and partners in the development of a pipeline to qualified students poised to become CD professionals.C4 partners will include all schools at The Citadel, federal departments, state / local agencies and the private sector.
C4 curriculum applications will provide our students with strategic operational understanding through technology enhanced academic delivery of cyber security and communications situation awareness vulnerabilities, intrusions, incidents, mitigation to include recovery theory and procedures.
