Formative (process) and summative (outcome/learning) evaluation methods track progress, achievement and change within each of the four functional areas.
- Process Evaluation
The process evaluation measures the implementation, operation and effectiveness of the functional areas.
- Impact Evaluation
The impact evaluation measures the change in participants’ knowledge, attitudes or behaviors immediately following an intervention program.
- Outcome Evaluation
The outcome evaluation measures the change in substance use behavior over an extended period; it is an indirect measure of department goals.
