Dr. Shadi Sadeghpour is an Assistant Professor of Cyber Operations in the Department of Cyber and
Computer Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus on Cybersecurity from
York University, Toronto, Canada, in 2023. Her areas of expertise include Cyber Forensics, Cyber
Operations, Network Security, Bots & DDoS Attacks, Adversarial Machine learning, Behavioral
Analysis, and Economics. She obtained her BSc in the field of Computer Engineering and her M.Sc. in
Computer Networks from Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada. Her research interests primarily lie
in the application of machine learning to cybersecurity, with a specific focus on areas such as web bot
detection and intrusion detection systems. Dr. Sadeghpour is actively engaged in mentoring research with
both undergraduate and graduate students at The Citadel. Currently, she is guiding group research projects
focused on intelligent approaches in UAV-based intrusion detection.
