Welcome to the Global Scholars Program, a new initiative to make semesters abroad feasible for all cadets at The Citadel. The program offers cadets enrolled in nearly every academic major at The Citadel to spend a semester abroad, taking courses relevant to their majors, while paying nearly the same amount for all study abroad costs as they would pay for a semester of study at The Citadel.

In order to fulfill its objective of making study abroad feasible for all students, the total costs of the Global Scholars Program are the same as a semester of tuition and fees at The Citadel. The Global Scholars tuition and fees cover:
- Round-trip airfare
- Up to 18 credit-hours of courses
- Lodging
- Meal plan (Program with American University of Rome does NOT include a meal plan)
- Textbooks
- Excursions
Deadlines and Planning
Fall 2024 programs are no longer open for application. Spring 2025 applications will be posted by mid-October 2024. Check back here for a list of programs and instructions on how to apply.
