Earn Your Construction Engineering Degree
The Citadel, through The Graduate College, offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering. The Construction Engineering program is a supportive, student-focused, and rigorous course of study designed to equip graduates with essential skills in quantitative/scientific analysis, critical thinking, and industry-specific proficiencies. Students also develop professional business acumen, principled leadership, and technical expertise necessary for success in the construction engineering field.
The Citadel’s Construction Engineering 2+2 Transfer Program is offered in cooperation with South Carolina technical schools where the student completes the first two years of study. Students may also attend an accredited college or university. The junior and senior years of study are completed at The Citadel by attending evening classes.
Program Outcomes and Expectations
Students in the Construction Engineering program gain comprehensive perspectives of the field and develop expertise in key areas such as scheduling, estimating, safety, contracts, Building Information Modeling (BIM), equipment usage, construction methods, and project management. The curriculum is designed to foster practical, real-world skills and includes:

Admission Requirements
- Complete the designated courses at an accredited college or university or equivalent with a grade of C or higher.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Submit all official transcripts directly from the source to The Citadel Graduate College (CGC) office.
- Submit an application to The Citadel Graduate College.
