The Citadel offers 12 College Transfer Programs for non-Cadet and veteran students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree. These programs are available online or on-campus in the evening.
Program Pathways for You
The 2+2 Program allows students to complete their first two years at an accredited college or university before transferring to The Citadel for the final two years to earn a bachelor’s degree.
The Degree Completion Program cater to students who have completed at least 30 credit hours of general education at another accredited institution, enabling them to transfer and pursue a bachelor’s degree in one of the available programs.

Search for Course Equivalencies
Students who wish to explore potential transfers of future or completed courses to The Citadel, along with their corresponding equivalencies, can use the website www.collegetransfer.net. This tool enables students to search for course equivalencies at colleges and universities, both within and outside the state of South Carolina. For an official transcript evaluation, please submit your official transcripts directly to The Citadel Registrar’s Office.
What to Expect Upon Admission
Upon Admission, you will work closely with your advisor to plan your schedule so that it fits your needs and meets the course requirements. As a student at The Citadel, you will take courses in the evening in a civilian environment, and you will have full access to all of the student and academic resources that The Citadel offers.
Jacob Ulmer is a veteran and an undergraduate student at The Citadel majoring in Business Administration. Ulmer served in the Coast Guard and, after graduating, hopes to accept a job through the federal government. Originally from Florence, South Carolina, Ulmer is an online student living in California.
