With about 500 students, Criminal Justice is the second largest major in The Citadel’s 2,800 undergraduate student body. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. The program combines relevant knowledge in the field with the distinctive Citadel educational experience.
Adult learners, working professionals, and those outside the Charleston region may be interested in The Citadel’s Degree Completion program. This program offers a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. This program is 100% online.
For students needing advanced analytical skills, The Citadel’s Criminal Justice Department offers a Master of Arts in Social Science.
Core teaching faculty in the Criminal Justice Department hold PhDs, specialize in a variety of relevant areas within the field of criminal justice, and are active scholars. The department has an extended set of practitioner teachers who provide real world experience for students.
Student clubs, travel opportunities, access to guest speakers and conferences, and the unique Citadel atmosphere create the right educational environment to produce well-rounded, principled leaders at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

The Citadel welcomed its first class of cadet Community Service Officers during a ceremony led by the college's Department of Public Safety.
