In consultation with representatives of The Citadel community, the Data Governance Committee establishes, documents and maintains data standards for the shared components of the Banner System. Responsibilities include determination of data ownership, definition of data maintenance standards/conventions and formulation of measures to ensure the accuracy, validity and completeness of shared institutional data.
Data Custodians are responsible for coordinating maintenance and control of the integrity of the data in their assigned Banner validation and rule tables, and to confer with other data custodians and the Data Governance Committee on impending changes.
