Dr. Frank Rodriguez is the first Hispanic superintendent in South Carolina and has made a significant impact on Beaufort County’s educational landscape.
Named the 2025 South Carolina Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Frank Rodriguez has overseen major bond referendums, secured record-breaking funds for the district, and improved student outcomes, including the district’s best-ever English Language Arts scores and high graduation and College/Career Readiness rates.
Dr. Frank Rodriguez dedication to community engagement is reflected in his numerous speaking engagements and recognition as a “Superintendent to Watch” by the National School Public Relations Association. Dr. Rodriguez has also prioritized teacher compensation, raising starting salaries to the highest in the state and implementing support programs for new teachers. Before his tenure in Beaufort County, Dr. Frank Rodriguez spent 26 years in South Florida’s education system.
