CAEP 2021-2022 Accountability Measures for Initial Programs
Measure 1 (Initial): Completer Impact and Effectiveness
Data must address: (a) completer impact in contributing to P-12 student-learning growth AND (b) completer effectiveness in applying professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions.
1. (a) Teacher SLO Scores
Teacher SLO Scores measure the impact of teaching performance on student growth, determined by the teacher’s ability to set appropriate goals for student learning and development, accurately measure and analyze student growth, and to plan, implement, and adjust instruction to ensure maximum student progress.
1. (b) South Carolina Teacher Standards 4.0 Evaluation
In the state of South Carolina, teachers are evaluated using the Expanded ADEPT South Carolina Teaching Standards (SCTS) 4.0 Evaluation using the following scale: 1=Unsatisfactory, 2=Needs Improvement, 3=Proficient, and 4=Exemplary. The evaluation is broken down into four domains. The resulting data for initial certification teacher education program completers is presented with mean scores for each variable within the four domains.
Measure 2 (Initial): satisfaction OF EMPLOYERS AND STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT
Data provided should be collected on employers’ satisfaction with program completers.
2. Employer Satisfaction Data
Data provided were collected from employers based upon their satisfaction with the preparation of program completers.
Measure 3 (Initial): candidate competency at completion
Data provided should relate to measures the EPP is using to determine if candidates are meeting program expectations and ready to be recommended for licensure.
3. Completer Competency Data
Data provided demonstrate the EPP is meeting program expectations and preparing candidates to be ready to be recommended for licensure.
Measure 4 (Initial): ability of completers to be hired
Data provided should relate to completers ability to be hired in positions for which they were prepared.
4. Program Completer Employment Data
Employment data received for four program completers shows that all are working in P-12 schools and three are working in the content area for which they were prepared. The remaining completer is working as a classroom coach outside of their content area.

MEASURE 2 (ADVANCED): SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYERS AND STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT
Data provided should be collected on employers’ satisfaction with program completers.
2. Employer Satisfaction Data
Data provided were collected from employers based upon their satisfaction with the preparation of program completers.
Measure 3 (advanced): candidate competency at completion
Data provided should relate to measures the EPP is using to determine if candidates are meeting program expectations and ready to be recommended for licensure.
3. Completer Competency Data
Data provided demonstrate the EPP is meeting program expectations and preparing candidates to be ready to be recommended for licensure.
Measure 4 (advanced): ability of completers to be hired
Data provided should relate to completers ability to be hired in positions for which they were prepared.
4. Program Completer Employment Data
Employment data demonstrate that the majority of completers are hired in positions for which they were prepared. The only exceptions are those completers from the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership for which two are instructional coaches and five remain in the classroom teacher role.
