Ingrid Dukes is a lifelong resident of the Lowcountry of South Carolina. She attended the Hanahan schools before leaving the area for college. She received her BS in Secondary Education History from Clemson University. She then returned home to Berkeley County to begin her career in education where she taught at Stratford High School while working on her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from The Citadel and was awarded the Hirshey Award for excellence in service, leadership, and academics.

Ingrid served as an Assistant Principal at Stratford High School before being named as Principal of College Park Middle School where she served for 24 years where she was selected as both Berkeley County Schools Secondary Principal of Year 3 times and as well as a two-time state principal of the year. Ingrid retired in 2023 after 36 years of service to the Berkeley County School District.
Ingrid has also served as President of several organizations including Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Service Sorority, Berkeley County Association of School Administrators, and The South Carolina Association of School Administrators Middle Level Division, as well as being selected to serve on State Superintendent Molly Spearman’s Principal Advisory Committee. She has presented both locally and nationally on a variety of topics related to reform and increasing student achievement in public education.
