Bio
Dr. Greg Harrison is an Assistant Professor in the Zucker Family School of Education. He boasts a wealth of educational experience spanning twenty-three years, with roles ranging from a dedicated classroom teacher to a dynamic building and district administrator. Dr. Harrison has served in the roles of high school assistant principal, high school principal, Executive Director of Secondary Schools, Executive Director of Virtual Learning, and Executive Director of Student Programs.
Dr. Harrison’s journey in education has been marked by notable recognitions, including being named South Carolina Career and Technical Education Administrator of the year in 2024, Educator of the Year by the Darlington Chamber of Commerce in 2014 and PTSA Assistant Principal of the Year in 2009. His commitment to excellence is further highlighted by accolades such as Stratford High School Teacher of the Year and South Carolina Law Teacher of the Year in 2005.
Recent scholarship activities include presenting at the South Carolina Association of School Administrators i3 Conference on the topics of: Esports: Reimagining Education for College and Career Readiness and “Revolutionizing Alternative Education: The Collaborative Success Story of RISE Academy.”
