Captain Plichta is an Adjunct Professor in the English, Fine Arts, and Communications Department and has been teaching English, Business Communications, and Freshman Seminars for 9 years.

Captain Plichta began his professional career as a Navy Surface Warfare officer, retiring after 27 years. He then served as Principal Engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation, launching the company’s Charleston office to support software engineering for Navy and Marine Corps command and control systems.
