British Marshall Scholarship

Mitchell Scholarship
12 Scholarships awarded annually to U.S. citizens. Supports 1 year of graduate study at a university in Ireland for future American leaders. Knight-Hennessy Scholarship
Awarded to one hundred high-achieving students from around the world with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment. Provides full funding to pursue a wide-ranging, full-time graduate education at Stanford, with the goal of developing a new generation of global leaders.
Fulbright US Student Grants
Supports graduate study, research, or teaching in any of over 155 countries, with the goal of promoting cross-cultural interaction and mutual understanding. Open to U.S. citizens.
Goldwater Scholarship

Carnegie Junior Fellowship
Participants in the Junior Fellows Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace fellows work as research assistants to the Endowment’s senior associates. Gates Cambridge Scholarship
Supports 1-4 years of study at Cambridge University. Goal is to create future leaders who will address global problems related to health, equity, technology, and learning. U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are eligible, though deadlines vary.
Truman Scholarship

James Madison Fellowship
Supports 2 years of graduate study towards a master’s degree concentrating on American history or government; for students who teach or plan to teach about the U.S. Constitution in secondary school.
Udall Scholarship
One-year undergraduate scholarship for students who intend careers related to the environment; and for Native American and Alaska Native students who intend careers in health care or tribal public policy. Soros Fellowship
Students must qualify as new Americans to apply. 30 scholarships awarded nationally. Supports up to two years of graduate study in any professional field or scholarly discipline; applicants must be new Americans — resident alien with green card, naturalized U.S. citizen, child of at least one naturalized citizen. Selection criteria emphasize creativity, originality, initiative, and sustained accomplishment.
Woodrow Wilson Fellowship
$30,000 stipend to support pursuit of master’s in teaching; mentoring and training for secondary school teaching in STEM subjects. Requires a major or significant experience in a STEM subject.
Pickering Fellowship
Supports students who intend to join the US Dept. of State Foreign Service. Women, members of historically underrepresented groups, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply.
