Flag Football and/or basketball referee
The Citadel Intramurals is recruiting students to officiate intramural Flag Football (September-October) and Basketball games (January-February). The official should develop and maintain a working knowledge of the sport’s rules and regulations. They will assist in the set-up and breakdown of the playing areas and equipment, and report any safety hazards or game-related accidents to the supervisor. The position requires independent judgment and good oral communication. The official must be able to move from end to end on the playing field.
Officials will be scheduled to work Monday – Thursday, 1530 – 1830
No experience is required. Officials must attend an instructional clinic in September and January.
The length of service is approximately six (6) weeks between September 15 and October 31 and six (6) weeks between January 15 and February 28.

The score keeper is responsible for keeping score during intramural athletics events, and assisting with the set up and breakdown of the intramural playing fields. These individuals must be available to work Monday through Thursday from approximately 1530 to 1830 depending upon the day of the week. Work will occur either in Deas Hall or on Summerall Field. Knowledge of intramural sports is helpful but not required.

Are you looking for a unique Graduate Assistant (GA) position? Would you like to be paid to help with The Gold Star Journal? A Graduate Assistant is needed to work for Dr. Mabrouk on facilitating the operation of The Gold Star Journal. The job must be performed on campus.
The Gold Star Journal is The Scholarly Journal of the Corps of Cadets and the Citadel Graduate College. This publication features multi-disciplinary nonfiction papers, photo stories, artwork, and photographs created by Citadel students.
Job Duties:
– help with the administration of The GSJ,
– update/maintain The GSJ web site,
– manage the organization’s calendar,
– reserve rooms for GSJ events,
– handle the booking of personnel for GSJ training sessions and the GSJAC,
– track GSJ submissions,
– keep records of GSJ activities,
– write letters to patrons and others,
– assist with the distribution of the publication to the Citadel community,
– work with the marketing and financial editors,
– coordinate purchases with the administrative assistant and pick them up at the post office,
– reserve and pick-up equipment for The GSJ,
– help the authors and editors to practice for the lecture, and
– help with setting-up for the GSJAC.
The candidate should have good interpersonal, communication (oral and written), organizational, and computer (Microsoft Office) skills. The GA will learn Word Press for maintaining web pages and possibly InDesign for producing documents.

Job Duties:
– Maintain cleanliness and charging of the center’s golf cart (also shared with other departments)
– Collect mail from Financial Aid Office and on-campus Post Office as well as mail letters/packages as needed
– Perform administrative tasks such as filing, printing, copying, etc.
– Assist with the management of VSSC’s social media accounts including drafting post language, taking pictures across campus and scheduling posts
