The Citadel’s Graduate Scholarship Program
The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships strives to provide quality service and financial assistance to our students. Financing a graduate education can be a daunting task. The purpose of The Citadel’s scholarship program is to attract outstanding college graduates. The Citadel Graduate College Scholarship Fund, Boeing Citadel Alumni Group Term Scholarship, and the Mother Emanuel AME Church Scholarship all help students further pursue their education. It rewards academic excellence, and help students who desire financial assistance to pay for their graduate education. The Citadel provides scholarship opportunities to students every year.
The Citadel Graduate College Scholarship Fund
The purpose of The Citadel Graduate College Scholarship is to provide funds to support a Citadel Graduate College student. Financial aid criteria determines qualification of each recipient that demonstrates financial need. Students also must maintain the traditionally high standards of The Citadel: promoting strong ability, character, and dedication to the program. There is a limit on scholarship funds.
Boeing Citadel Alumni Group Term Scholarship
The primary purpose of this non-endowment is to provide scholarship funds to support a Citadel undergraduate student or Citadel Graduate College student in need of financial assistance to complete his or her education. The recipient should possess those attributes of ability, character, temperament, and personality that are in accord with the traditionally high standards of The Citadel. In addition to financial need the recipient should meet the following criterion:
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA
- Recommendation from engineering department.
- Desired, but not required:
- Desire a future career in the aerospace industry
- Demonstrate an interest in STEM-related studies
Mother Emanuel AME Church Scholarship
Cadets, veteran students, or graduate students who are members of the Mother Emanuel AME Church of Charleston, SC. have preference for this scholarship. Eligible students who are members of another African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church are given secondary consideration. In order to be considered, applicants shall submit a letter of reference from a church official representing the congregation to which they belong. If there is no eligible recipient who is an active member of an AME Church, The Citadel Chaplain or Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships will invite a student to apply for scholarship. Submit a letter of reference for consideration. Please contact the Citadel Chaplain to inquire about recommendations.
