Our faculty has deep experience both in the professional and academic spheres to provide relevant perspectives for the next generation of creative thinkers. From medical illustration to drone image capture to combat art, we practice what we preach with the passion of lived experience.
Basic foundation courses in art and music then progress into media-specific drawing, painting, and photography classes. Photoshop, Graphic Design, Forensic Photography, and Photojournalism provide direct training for several career fields that complement a variety of majors. Fine Arts interns have completed projects both on and off campus using these in-demand skills. For a full listing of current courses, please visit the Registrar.
The Fine Arts discipline is not a major at this time. However, given its strong complement to various majors from Intelligence to Biology, the Fine Arts minor is The Citadel’s most popular minor program. This cohort of over 100 cadets receives additional mentoring and access to opportunities within the many related fine arts fields.
