Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance
Dr. Yee is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Health and Human Performance. His primary research interests include examining how the family & home environment influences obesity and cardiovascular disease risk in youth and developing and implementing family-based healthy lifestyle & weight management programs. Dr. Yee also has interests in how the dietary behavior and nutrition of Citadel cadets affects their cardiometabolic health, physical fitness, tactical performance, and overall quality of life. In 2015, he earned a PhD in Kinesiology (concentration in Exercise Physiology) from Michigan State University (MSU). While at MSU, Dr. Yee served as the Laboratory Coordinator for the Human Energy Research Laboratory and taught a wide variety of undergraduate courses in the Department of Kinesiology. Prior to arriving at The Citadel, Dr. Yee spent 3 years as a Visiting Professor in Exercise Science at Grand Valley State University. Dr. Yee has been a member of The Citadel faculty since 2018.
