Jason Scott
Directorate of Intelligence
Jason Scott reported on May 22, 2023, as Section Chief of the Intelligence Technology Section in the HUMINT, Tradecraft, and Intelligence Branch, Directorate of Intelligence. In this position, Jason oversees teams responsible for gathering intelligence-focused requirements, program managing key intelligence systems, and training the FBI workforce on the latest technology to facilitate intelligence analysis.
Prior to joining the DI, Jason served as SC of Criminal Intelligence Section II in the Criminal Investigative Division (CID), a position he held from January of 2021. He joined the FBI in 2012 as an Intelligence Analyst in the San Diego Field Office, and subsequently served as a Supervisory Intelligence Analyst (SIA) of the Counterterrorism (CT) Field Intelligence Group. In 2014, he moved to Dallas where he first served as the White Collar/ Public Corruption intelligence supervisor and then the CT SIA. In 2018, Jason was selected to stand up the Geospatial Management Office in the DI where he served 18 months and was then promoted as the Assistant Section Chief of the Strategic Technology Section, where he oversaw intelligence focused technology acquisition and development. After that, Jason joined Baltimore as its first Senior Supervisory Intelligence Analyst, overseeing the Intelligence Program for Maryland and Delaware.
Before the FBI, Jason was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Armor branch, where he served as a Platoon Leader and Assistant S3. He then served as a counterterrorism intelligence analyst at JITF-CT and CENTCOM. Jason holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University in Chicago, a MBA from the University of Florida, and is a graduate of the Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning, GA. He was awarded a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and several campaign medals.
