About Us

The Department of Engineering Leadership and Program Management offers a Graduate Certificate in Technical Project Management (12 hours) and a Masters of Science in Project Management (30 hours).

The program of study uses PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) as a framework for instruction and knowledge development. The problem-based course of study models a large project environment through the use of industry-related problem sets and current events. While focused on knowledge and performance competency development, students’ abilities to attain PMP® certification and to progress in their careers are enhanced.

Program Objectives

  1. Prepare individuals to lead large projects.
  2. Develop the competencies associated with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) from the Project Management Institute (PMI®), which is standard practice across the profession.
  3. Develop skills needed to complete complex projects on time, on budget, and to specification.
  4. Blends business and leadership principles with project management strategies and skills.

All face-to-face classes are conveniently offered at the Citadel’s Campus.

I learned project management principles that I could apply to my job the next day.  I found that extremely valuable! I also enjoyed networking and making friends in the program—I now feel part of The Citadel Community!
