Dr. Clemson Turregano is the Professor of Practice for The Citadel’s Department of Leadership Studies. Dr. Turregano teaches courses in the Department of Leadership Studies Graduate Program and The Citadel’s Executive Leadership Academy.
Recently retired from the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), Dr. Turregano is a practicing scholar and has won awards for teaching strategic leadership to senior government and corporate officials. Dr. Turregano’s work and scholarship are heavily influenced by his background in public administration, his four years as CCL’s Director for Government Programs, and his years of experience as a CCL’s Coaching Practice Leader. During his tenure, Dr. Turregano collaborated with Dr. George Halenbeck and the CCL Global Leadership Products staff to develop the Lead4Success training program.
Dr. Turregano is the CEO of Global Leadership Services, a full spectrum leadership development firm that services entities in the telecommunications, banking, and manufacturing industries, as well as in addition to all levels of government. His C-suite work includes a wide range of commercial leaders, as well as elected and appointed senior government officials.
Dr. Turregano is a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He earned an MA in Political Science, MPA, and Doctorate from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He also earned a MA in Security and Strategy from the US Army War College. He rendered 24 years of service in the US Army as an Armor officer, the US Military Academy at West Point, and US Naval War College. As a combat commander, he commanded troops during the Kosovo incursion and subsequent peacekeeping operations.
