Gunnery Sergeant Ballard currently serves as the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor (AMOI) at the Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina.
Gunnery Sergeant Ballard was born and raised in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in December 2007 and attended recruit training in March 2008 with November Company, Fourth Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina where she was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Private First Class. In July 2008, she then reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Geiger, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training. She was then transferred to Supply School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina where she earned the MOS of 3043.
In September 2008, upon completion of school, Gunnery Sergeant Ballard reported for duty with Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan. She was assigned to the Permanent Personnel Section where she worked as a Supply Chief. She was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal in December 2008. In September 2009 she was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In September 2009, she was selected for the All-Marine Softball team and traveled to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for the All-Armed Forces Championship.
In September of 2010, she was assigned to Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 28, Cherry Point, North Carolina where she worked as a Supply Administration Chief. In May 2011, she was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Also in August 2011, she was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where she worked as a Supply Administration Chief until December 2011.
Upon return from deployment, she was placed on Temporary Additional Duty to Marine Aerial Vehicle Squadron 2 from January 2012 to December 2012 where she worked as a Supply Chief. Also, in September 2012 she was selected as a Veteran for All Marine Softball and traveled to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for the All-Armed Forces Championship. After completing Temporary Additional Duty from Marine Aerial Vehicle Squadron 2, she returned to Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 28 where she worked as a Supply Officer and Supply Chief from January 2013 to December 2013.
In January 2014, she was nominated to work at Marine Air Control Group 28, Cherry Point, North Carolina as a Corporals Course Instructor until October 2014.
October 2014, Gunnery Sergeant Ballard reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina for Drill Instructor School with class 1-15 upon completion she was assigned to Oscar Company, Fourth Recruit Training Battalion. February 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Ballard successfully completed her tour as a Drill Instructor, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina and reported to Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany GA. Gunnery Sergeant Ballard was assigned as the Supply Administration Chief for the Fiscal Year 2018 Physical Inventory Team from February 2018 to July 2018.
Gunnery Sergeant Ballard served as the Company Gunnery Sergeant for Headquarters Company East, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia from July 2018 to May 2019 and was assigned as the Battalion Supply Officer for Second Force Storage Battalion, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Georgia. March 2020, Gunnery Sergeant Ballard reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 453, Detachment Two Supply Company, Albany, Georgia to serve as the Logistics Chief.
March 2022, Gunnery Sergeant Ballard currently serves as the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
