Bio
Dr. Greg Caskey is an Assistant Professor of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University.
Dr. Caskey’s research focuses on applied microeconomics, economic development, and political economy, especially pertaining to China. His research has been published in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Public Choice, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Markets & Morality, and The Independent Review. Dr. Caskey is currently working on several projects related to the economic and political consequences of China’s overseas lending activities.
Dr. Caskey has a passion for the classroom, including wide-ranging teaching interests from Principles of Micro- and Macroeconomics courses to Economic Development to International Economic Policy. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, Dr. Caskey taught Economics and Asian Studies at the Delaware Military Academy in Wilmington, DE.
He lives with his wife, Colleen, in Charleston and can be found biking around town.
