Purpose: The primary goal of the math club is to promote mathematical interest and activity among students at The Citadel, foster interest in doing research, and to strengthen the interaction and relationship between students and faculty members. During our meetings, we discuss and solve interesting mathematical problems, attend seminars, socialize, and engage in activities related to mathematics.
We meet once a month to do fun things with math. We alternate between Friday lunch meetings and Tuesday dinner meetings. Students with noon classes or night-time obligations will not be able to attend certain meetings, but hopefully you can attend some meetings during the semester.
Math Club officers help organize club activities and encourage students to attend the meetings. You do not need to be a math major. The only requirement is that you are in at least your 2nd year and that you are available to attend meetings (Friday noon / Tuesday evening).
