Béatrice Frask is a native from Normandy, France, where she studied Foreign Languages at the University of Caen: English, Polish, German, and Italian. She then received a scholarship to study at the University of Delaware for a Master’s degree in French and Pedagogy. Afterwards, she attended Johns Hopkins University where she earned a Master’s in French Literature. Having taught at Duke and the College of Charleston, Professor Frask decided to create her translation company in order to have the flexibility to spend time with her daughter. Now that her daughter is a teenager, Frask has returned to teaching.
Having presented at the ACTFL conference, worked with the French Consulate in Atlanta, Professor Frask’s interests are the communicative approach to teaching, as well as 19th century French novels and poetry.
Her leisure includes music, singing, swimming, hiking, cooking, birding and travelling.
