Capers Hall
Capers Hall, which holds The Citadel’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, is the newest campus building.
Capers Hall was originally built in the 1950s and housed classrooms and offices for the English, History and Political Science departments for generations of Citadel students. During its original construction, the building was part of a $700,000 expansion. Now, the construction of Capers Hall is the largest project in the history of The Citadel. Capers Hall is home to the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, which is the college’s largest school, that includes seven different departments. The building has 39 different classrooms and boasts a square footage of more than 97,000.
