The Stoney House, located at 573 Huger Street, just outside the Hagood Gate, was the home of Thomas Porcher Stoney during his terms in office as mayor of Charleston from 1923 to 1931. Constructed in 1919, the house was purchased by the college in 1978 and first occupied by The Citadel Career Center in 1987.
